“Mike Levy is a seasoned, reliable, intelligent and insightful business partner. He will find unique and profitable solutions to complex problems, deal well with interpersonal situations, and stay focused on doing the right thing for both his clients and his own company’s growth needs.  For over 12 years working together with dozens of clients, government partners and other business growth partners, I observed Mike as an outstanding advisor to his clients, from whom he had the utmost respect and appreciation. Mike consistently placed his clients’ needs as his number one business priority. He possesses a unique set of skills and capabilities that he applies appropriately to any given business situation: he is adept at defining the true causes of business growth and operational challenges, and he possesses a vast set of experience, tools and methodologies across various subject matter areas, which allows him to identify unique and valuable insights that support his clients’ needs. As a consultant he will see what others do not comprehend."

"Working with Mike has been a game-changer for us. For the first time, we have a market positioning statement that truly differentiates us from our competitors. Mike's in-depth research and data-driven approach helped us understand our unique strengths and position us strategically in the market. The direction Mike provided has already positively impacted on our business with new business opportunities. We highly recommend Harmonic Shore's marketing services to any company looking to refine their market approach and build a competitive advantage.”

Jackie Pruett-EstepSales & Marketing Manager, Paul's Fans

“Working with Mike Levy has been a truly standout experience. I’ve had the opportunity to provide third-party services for him—ranging from website design to market research—for his client projects, and what sets Mike apart is his depth of knowledge and strategic approach. Unlike many agencies that push a standard set of services under the umbrella of “marketing,” Mike understands that true marketing is rooted in science, not just surface-level tactics. He approaches each client challenge with critical thinking, always focused on the bigger picture—how each effort connects to business goals and customer behavior. His ability to align creative work with strategic intent elevates every project. If you’re looking for someone who gets marketing beyond the buzzwords, who brings insight, intelligence, and integrity to the table, Mike is it.”

Brittani Clarke-Clayman, Chief Marketing OfficerESI Total Fuel Management

Working with Mike Levy has been a game-changer for organizations we serve. From the very beginning, Mike brought a rare combination of strategic insight, hands-on execution, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. His expertise in business development and market planning helped us identify new growth opportunities and refine our approach with precision and purpose. What sets Mike apart is not just his depth of knowledge, but his relentless focus on client success. He listens carefully, asks the right questions, and tailors solutions that deliver real, measurable results. Mike doesn't settle for good - he pushes for great, and that drive has had a lasting impact both personally and professionally. If you're looking for someone who brings vision, accountability, and a deep passion for delivering value, Mike Levy is that partner. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.”

Chuck Beasley, Managing Partner Percussion Marketing

“Mike’s organizational skills were tremendously helpful in our turnaround effort.  After the second meeting we left with a plan, checkpoints, and a commitment to action… something the company had spent years trying to on its own without success.”

Michael Duncan, President & General ManagerDirected Vapor Technologies

RAMP Mission:

Serve as a process-based, cost-effective resource for small industrial businesses, helping to transition their marketing activities and uncertainty into accountable marketing management and measurable marketing return on investment.

RAMP Vision:

Clarity in market planning and execution.

R.A.M.P. is an acronym for the three distinct yet interlocking categories of activity in marketing process:

1. Research & Analysis

2. Management

3. Planning

Market Research & Analysis

If needed and appropriate to the research problem, RAMP will provide an optional, proprietary online data collection tool for any of the activities below:

  • Competitor Analysis

  • Financial Valuation & Modeling

  • Commercialization Readiness Assessment

  • Customer Satisfaction / Feedback

  • Perceived Technical Credibility (Technology Adoption Potential)

  • Segmentation & Forecasting

  • Voice of the Customer

  • Technology Driven Market Intelligence ("I have something unique, where can I sell it?")

  • Tech Scouting / Supplier Scouting ("I need something unique, where can I find it?")

  • Concept Definition

  • Intent to Purchase or Adopt

  • Brand Awareness

  • Automation Requirements Definition

  • Opportunity Scoping (Problem Definition)

  • Trend Analysis

  • Risk Analysis

  • Digital Opportunity Analysis

  • Ideation Session / Creativity Workshops

Market Planning

In over 15 years consulting with 100 industrial companies, the answer to my question of: "Do you have a marketing plan" was always "No". If Research & Analysis supplies the building-block components to successful growth and innovation, then the Marketing Plan is the "blueprint" for success. Most importantly, it contains a strategic "Statement of Competitive Advantage" (one for each Market Segment) that guides creative execution, along with budget, resources (human and technical) and production schedule for creative and sales execution. Based on research inputs, every Marketing Plan should have a Forecast with projected Marketing ROI (and defined valuation method, so you know the risks).

  • Strategic Planning Facilitation

  • Market Planning / Lead Generation

  • Direct Outbound Lead Generation

  • Lead Criteria Development, Process Development & Programming

  • Communication & Content Planning

  • Marketing BluePrint (complete marketing plan)

  • Creative Concepting / Messaging

  • Ideation / Concept Generation / Discovery

  • Communication Design Concept

  • Lean Product Development

  • Value Stream Mapping / Improvement Roadmaps

Marketing Management

This is the area that leads most people to believe that Marketing is a "website" or "advertising". Well, it is that...but it's so much more. Marketing Management is professional Project Management that ensures the Marketing BluePrint is executed on time and on budget, then measured and reported to stakeholders. It involves change management, management accountability, production scheduling, creative team concepting, traffic management, printing, communications and much more. To coordinate this complexity, RAMP promises a team that is skilled both creatively (right brained) and logically (left brained) to ensure that your organization knows what's happening with "those marketing people".

  • Marketing Readiness Assessment

  • Marketing Process Management

  • Copywriting (campaign or business unit specific)

  • Website Development

  • Trade show signage, booths and materials production

  • Direct Outbound Lead Generation: Launch & Manage

  • Communication Launch & Content Management

  • Automation Programming, Test & Launch

  • Creative and Digital Design Services

  • Enterprise Assessment

I founded RAMP Marketing Institute to continue a long journey of helping small businesses seek clarity and gain insight into the art and science of marketing process. I want the risk to be mine, not my client's, so I can transfer and execute that value to clients at the lowest possible marketing cost. This is something that is not the case in today's typical marketing agency business model.
